From MSFS 2020 onwards only the central part of the city of Hamburg, Germany is provided as a TIN city. The east and the north of the city, including the area around the airport has no photogrammetry data. Neither is the West around EDHI and South (Harburg) captured. That is very unfortunate for Germany’s second largest city!
No thanks - it is about time somewhere else in the world got a look in - like South Africa, or Mozambique/Angola - somewhere that provides something other than a USA, EU, UK or Japan centric view - please!
Folks, just a reminder that this is a wish for a specific item. Those that agree with the wish can vote for it using the Vote button at the top of the post.
Note that there is no “No Vote” option for wishes. If users would prefer other new functionality in MSFS, rather than posting opposing opinions (which will not be counted), they should either vote in an existing topic that covers that other functionality, or create a new topic if their particular area of interest is not already covered.
As some may have noticed, the consolidated Wishlist that has been published in Developer Livestreams is always ordered by votes cast, not dissenting opinions. To make your dissenting opinion count, vote in an alternative topic!
I agree, @Pilotfirst9999, that other areas in the world need an update, too. And I just heard Jörg say, the next CU will be a “hot” one. However my issue in this case is that Bing did probably capture more of the city of Hamburg than is currently displayed but skipped the rest. Maybe because of poor data quality or cloud shadows or whatever. I wouldn’t need another CU Germany; I’d be happy with a quiet server-side update.
