Happy Camper

Well… After a not so great start I must say I’m pleased with the overall game performance on my rig. What I found out.

  1. Read the posts on tips for graphic settings and anything you can find addressing your issues most issues have been discussed here.
  2. Make sure your hyper-threading is enabled. ( as a someone who does a lot of CPU over-clocking I had mine disabled)
  3. Run the developer tool.

Do I think the sim has some issues that need addressed, yes…but given time I feel they will be worked out.

I now get 35+ to 70 FPS, 35+ in high density areas running mostly medium/high settings. I’ve seen Ram usage as high as 22g and video ram usage up to 10.2g

Update the above FPS is outside view…Inside in small prop plane is sill nice in a heavy around 35 all times.

I7 6700K @ 4.6
32g ram @ 3200
1080TI @ 2020
250 SSD
34" 3440x1440 G-Sync monitor
everything water cooled…

What is the developer tool you mentioned?

program in options/general to find my bottleneck and watch FPS. Shows Limited by Main thread. Not sure how to remedy this.this with medium settings

Oh cool. Thanks. The FPS meter is a lot of information. Mine says Limited By GPU which is weird to me becuase I have a really good GPU (RTX 2070) in an old PC (i7-2600k 3.4ghz) so since I am getting 20-25 FPS I thought it would be the Main Thread that would be the bottleneck.

Goodman98155, I get the limited by GPU even when @ 70+ FPS over the ocean. LOL but everything is on the green…

I guess something has to be a limitation or we would get infinite frames per second lol. Wonder what that would look like?

GPU Limited LOL
