Happy with the LOD and vegetation with this new 1.9.5.0 patch

The game after this Oct. 13 patch feels like on launch day now honestly. Love the vegetation drawing distance. Makes the game feel more immersive now.

I am running this on an old Intel 5930K , 64GB of 2400mhz ram, 1080TI FTW3

How much RAM is the game consuming out of the 64? just curious.

For just the game it varies between 12-15GB, another note I run the game stock meaning no addons. During normal computer usage, total memory usage is at 22-24GB around. So yeah 32GB is the sweet spot for this game.

Edit: For my 1080TI usage hangs around 80-93% and CPU at 30-45%

Has it honestly been improved or is it placebo effect? No sarcasm, honest question

Honestly it has been improved. This pic was from Oct 8th, look to the left in the outskirts of the volcano looks pretty barren when there should be trees all over in that area.

I hope you are right - why Asobo doesn’t add that to patch notes is beyond my comprehension

Honestly probably messed it up and don’t want more backlash. Before to make it feel like this I had to edit the UserCfg.opt and change this line
{Terrain
LoDFactor 2.000000
}
Changed it to 5.0 and set the file to to read only. But left it at 2.0 now and it feels like the 5.0 from earlier.

It’s placebo. They didn’t touch the LOD issues (if there were any, I never noticed) in this update, as one can see in the October 8th Development update.

Agreed… not sure they changed anything LOD wise
