Have you ever been waiting that much for a good payware plane?

Just a simple question.
Would you immediately pay for a good plane with no bugs at this very moment ?
Would you spend a solid 50-100 bucks for a good “PMDG like” airliner plane or a simple well rounded “whatever brand” turboprop plane fully functionnal ?
Cheers
P.S. i think i would.

No!

Answer is very simple, due possible broken sim after next Update/Patch and also change of internal sim systems, I’ll not waste money for any addon now.

Answer to your last sentence? Good luck

No, because they have to rely on the SDK which is incomplete

You’ve added a limiting factor to the OP’s post that they didn’t include. You may as well say no because you don’t want them breaking in to your house, and stealing your cutlery! They merely said a good plane, with no bugs. The method is not in question, just the results.

I would say no to airliners, as I have no interest.

But I would tentatively say yes to a GA, although $50 is a lot. Maybe for a working Kodiak, that might swing it for me.

Ok, I’ll clarify, given a fully functioning sim then I would consider it, I believe this is going to be a long wait.

I suspect you are right, but when they get on top of things like crashing, and the like, they can concentrate on content.

Note that I am fully aware of different teams, working on different things, but they themselves have admitted that there is only so much they can test on the current two week timescale. They should be fully testing things they release, not throwing them out then leaving it up to us to find the faults.

No I want to continue using my 737-800 like I’ve been using in the last 3 versions. FS9 TO FSX to P3D no problem to MSFS2020 No Way not gonna buy them again.

I will not buy any addons before somes months (years?), update are too unstable, and SDK not enough complete to pretend for professional level addons.
Iwill buy aircrafts only, by Milviz or A2A (i never use airliner, just GA), and RXP avionics if any. And Heli DLC (why not offered to deluxe premium users :p).
No sceneries, meshes, airports (or just un few units) etc…just aircrafts. i will not spend as much money as i have spent for FS / P3D / XP.
This sim already have the entire world, enough place to fly for a entire life (and a lot of freeware are awesome), it looks beautful (not need for shader or cloud/building packages) and a beautiful weather. For what i’m waiting for (it’s personnal), this sim doesn’t need addons like before.

In a perfect world, I’d love to get some payware quality GA planes.

In truth, it’s probably too early to expect something that meets 90 percent expectations. Between SDK limits (flaws?) and underlying development issues of both current and missing/broken features, the payware makers are very constrained.

For example, I’d love a good tactical trainer jet (i.e., TA-50, M-345, the latter is hinted at by Dino Catteneo) just to zip around point to point and not have to handle something as large as a bizjet. But several makers have mentioned the underlying components to a good Heads-Up Display are still missing or underdeveloped.

It took over a decade to get FSX to where it was. We’re not even six months into FS2020. The market will shake out, but part of that is dictated by how quickly and successful MS-Asobo delivers improvements and innovations to the tools payware makers need, as well as the underlying maturity of the game platform code itself.

I think it‘s save to assume that as soon as the top quality developers like PMDG, A2A etc release their first addon the sim will be ready ^^

I would pay for PMDG’s 737 which is now delayed, for sure. Would I pay 100 no. I would pay between 0-50. Even 50 is a stretch. If everything was around twenty bucks I wouldn’t feel like I was neglecting funds towards my family and I could spread the wealth around a lot more (i.e. scenery, planes, etc.). At the twenty dollar price point I believe the consumer would actually pay more in the long run because they would hesitate much less every time they buy a product. I realize however the quality overall might go down given there isn’t much reward in building perfect study level aircraft but the bar would still be a lot higher than it is right now.

I’ll insta buy the Aerosoft CRJ. Have been wanting a decent CRJ all the time in XP already.

As they work closely with ASOBO, I guess they’ll be able to deliver even with the SDK not being perfect.

I wouldn’t spend any money with addons for this sim right now. And I spent hundreds on FSX and DCS. It’s far too unstable, next patch could easily break my $50-100 add on plane. As it is now many of the planes in the “super-duper-premium” version are broken. I also think many of the big addon players are going to wait and see with this game. It’s too much of a moving target…

I already have grabed the M20 Ovation by Carenado. Ist the best actual GA Plane IMO. The MB339 from Dino Cattaneo is now in Beta state and wil be a instant buy for me.

Also the Milviz MV310 is in development and i hope we can fly it soon in the MSFS

Yes…I’m patiently waiting to cash in my PMDG $99 coupon! In the mean time, I’m enjoying and thankful for the work Flybywire is doing on the 320.

@ Starfix00

Maybe good point or advice to you is,

check now how threads about Carenado planes looks  no problem if you will like them, it’s up to you…

Ill be day 1 buying the A2A Aerostar 600 and the Aerosoft CRJ.

Ill be flying the Aerostar as my GA touring aircraft and the CRJ for FSE.

The only paid scenery I could see buying would be KPIT and KAGC (if anyone bothered) as those are my home airports.

Waiting? Absolutely! I’m waiting for the 737NG3, CRJ-700 and anyone who delivers a study level E-175/E-195. Do I expect to see them anytime soon? Not really, the sim has a lot to mature first.

Grateful that we have FlyByWire and Working Title to keep us busy until then.
