I need to vent my frustrations. VR is hosed!
I can fly and use VR but here’s a list of issues in case someone from Asobo happens to be checking:
- The FPS varies from 6 to 35 FPS for me. I’ll get 35 FPS in VR, exit to the menu, return and it’s 15 FPS. Exit to the menu, return and it’s 20 FPS. Exit to the menu and return and its 6 FPS. WTF?!
- Likewise, the mouse works randomly. One time I can click on everything and the next nothing.
- The textures are a joke. Yesterday in Mexico they were all pink and checkered on the buildings and ground. Today in India, everything is green. This occurs in random patches of several hundred acres.
- Little NavMap VR also changes each time I exit and enter VR. When the FPS is 35, the LNM window is large, but the map and text are unreadable. I can’t click in the UI to change anything. When the FPS is low, the window is smaller than the G1000 PFD display. Again, nothing is clickable.
Since release, I’ve had maybe two flights where most everything worked. At least it was passable. And I’ve been on the sim everyday. All my settings have been optimized for my system. When it works, it’s awesome. But, one out of 10 times doesn’t cut it.
