VR is MSFS 2024 is a hot mess for me right now. Just got the 2 week trial of game pass to give it a whirl. Where to start? Tool tips are stupidly large and block what you are trying to interact with in the cockpit. Vr Menu toolbar is tiny. EFB cannot be interacted with. Mouse interaction stops after accessing menus. Prop shadows are a crazy slideshow on the windscreen. Performance has seen a big drop off from 2020. Flight plan appears random and different from what was selected in flight planner. In a 20 min flight I got 2 bandwidth too low warnings and a further 3 cannot access live traffic warnings. Ground textures were a mixture of low to medium resolution and object pop in was very poor.
Lighting is stunning and clouds are a noticeable improvement but still really concerned about the lack of focus for VR.
I know there are a few options to tweak to improve things but I’m not going to go there until the weekend when I have a bit more time to play around.
Genuinely surprised about how bad this is at the moment. I would have hoped for VR performance to at least be on a par with 2020, not a major regression.
