Having Such an Unpleasant Time in VR Considering Refund

I know many of us have been disappointed getting to grips with the new sim in VR, myself included. The bugs and frustrations have been too numerous, combined with the hassle of once again going back to basics of endlessly trying different settings to achieve what we have in MS 2020.

That being said, I had an epiphany this evening, thanks to today’s update where all my 2020 aircraft are now showing up. In particular the JU 52 trimotor, with its wonderful glass-house cockpit, which has always been a real visual treat for me, most especially in VR.

I took a flight over my home environment near Hobart, Tasmania flying down the stunning scenery of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel near sunset and the visuals in this sim was simply the best flight sim experience of my life.

I finally had stable performance, with good frame rates and crystal clear views on my Pimax Crystal OG, so I just flew for flying’s sake.

The lighting, the trees, the water, the whole experience was simply stunning.

I forgot all the hassles and was totally immersed in the spectacular experience. It left FS2020 for dead and finally gave me a realisation that, when it works, this sim is a work of art.

If you manage to get to that stage of setting things up, all the angst just falls away, you can ignore any scenery bugs and in VR this will truly be a gift to be thankful for.
