(Mc)Alpine Magic tomorrow evening… For this session we’ll start at Inverness (EGPE) and head west over Loch Ness before turning into the Highlands of Scotland for some low level Friday evening fun.

Friday’s Session 22/03/2024 @19:30Z GMT(UTC). As usual UK317 JoinFS Hub for multiplayer and UK317/WAA Teamspeak for comms.
Returning to the Alps this month we’ll be starting at Sion (LSGS) and heading straight into the mountains on the Swiss/Italian border, winding our way eastbound to a half-way stop at Ambri (LSPM). The second half will see us initially head north to Mollis and then east to Innsbruck (LOWI) though with a scenic and rather fun detour just before we get there.

Sorry for the slightly late notice, here are the details for tomorrow’s session:
Start at EGXW (RAF Waddington) 19:30 BST (UTC+1), any fast jet will do, we generally operate 360-420kts.
As usual UK317 JoinFS Hub for the multiplayer bit, and most likely the Alpine Radio channel in the UK317 discord for talking (I will be monitoring the UK317/WAA Teamspeak and we will use it if we need to).
Going a little piste for this session, we’ll start at RAF Waddington (EGXW). The plan is to route west initially to the Peak District, taking in the practice dams used by 617Sqn before their famous 1943 raid. From there we will turn north making what we can of the valleys as we traverse the Yorkshire dales and North North Pennines. Wheels on the deck at Carlisle in some fashion will then have us set up for a play in the lake district. While not quite as mountainous as the Alps I hope some local knowledge should help us to find fun routes as we fly through the North of England.

-Starting airfield will be ENZV (Stavanger/Sola) from there it will be an exploratory flight through the fjords and mountains
-Any fast jet will do, we will likely cruise at 420kts over water and flat areas, slowing to 360kts when the going gets twisty
