Seems to be fixed on my system 3700X with 2070 Super

is the brightness fixed as well?
Not sure what you mean by brightness, I didnāt have any issues with that?
it didnāt turn on unless you used the workaround with windowed mode.
but the brightness was still lower than SU9.
SU9 peak brightness hitting 10000 nits nearly.
SU10 beta it was like 304 or something.
Ah, OK I considered that to be part of the HDR issue, not just a brightness problem.
After today“s patch game still launches in SDR even if HDR was set to be active. You still need to switch to windowed and back full screen. This is not fixed I“m afraid.
Cheers
Must admit I didnāt check that bit as it started in Windowed mode for me after the update anyway. Will test that next restart.
Testing on 1.27.14.0; it let me turn on HDR but I didnāt get an HDR view until I turned on, then turned off, my second (non-HDR) monitor. (This was after switching in and out of windowed mode a couple of times with no effect.) Then suddenly the MSFS view went into HDR again.
try going into windowed mode, and drag the window around with your mouse guys.
that should activate it, if it still has the same issue as before.
Iāll change my response to partially fixed for HDR.
I can confirm that I still have to go into windowed mode, move the window about a bit then go back to full screen to get HDR.
But does it actually work ? You could do this fix in the previous patch as well but HDR was not working even if it showed HDR on.
Yes it is HDR now after doing the windowed mode switch about.
Well it is on my setup anyway
Brightness at first glance seems allright.
Iāll try to do my HDR measurements later and post my results here.
I can confirm HDR is working, we shouldnāt have to switch between windowed mode and full screen to get it to work thoughā¦
I canāt seem to get the sim to save my settings now, I wanted to try DX11 and everytime I open the sim its in DX12 and I also changed from DLSS to TAA but that reverts also when I start the sim!
can confirm that its not fixed, still have to do the workaround still.
tried dx11 and 12.

still 300 nits compared to 10000 nits brightness of SU9
( Asobo do us all a favor and add a peak brightness slider for HDR
)
Where are you getting that info from?
i record the screen in EXR format for proper HDR Meta data retrieval.
after that i load it in a HDR viewer like HDR + WCG Image viewer and check itās data.
I can see a huge difference between SDR and HDR on my LG C1, are you certain its not working properly?
i am 100% certain, our TVās are doing some tone mapping magic to make it look decent.
I have a LG OLED C2, TVās handle HDR signals differently as their tone mapping internals do not do it the same way PC Monitors do.
