Dear Community…if you’ve recently purchased the velocity one yoke.

Don’t try to update the firmware on Xbox or you’ll be locked into update mode. There is an issue with the control centre app. An update is due very soon.

If you get locked to update mode you’ll need a PC running Windows 10/11 to reset it…

My advice hold fire and ask them if the control centre app is now functional.

ITEM CLOSED - literally the Xbox control center app was updated yesterday. Even if locked in update mode it will work. Give it a try if stuck.

Update the App,

  1. open app, connect velocity one yoke,. run update.
  2. If it fails or hangs, disconnect yoke, exit app.
  3. Uninstall control center app
  4. Reboot xbox
  5. Reinstall control center app
  6. Connect yoke to different USB port
  7. Run update again.

That was given to me by a Turtle Beach admin for anyone struggling.

You can also of course use the PC recovery tool instead of above, which is very easy to do as well.
