I have multiple issues for the MSFS 2024 Heart Aerospace ES-30 by Asobo Studio.
I have no files in my community folder whatsoever.
These can be reproduced just by flying the plane in the sim.
The first issue I noticed is no engine or other readouts appear on the center display so starting and managing the plane is difficult. This happens weather you start cold and dark on the ramp or started on the runway.
The next issue is there is a landing light switch and a Taxi/To switch. Only the landing light switch has a light that comes on. No lights come on for the taxi/to switch. I have no idea if this is a quirk with the real airplane or not (and no I checked the two switches do not control the same light).
Also there is a problem with the autopilot where if you have the autopilot engaged and you pass 250 knots the autopilot begins to ocellate in pitch violently. There is no red tape on the airspeed readout so I have no idea if this is because I am over speeding the airplane or not. The tablet says it should have a cruise speed of 300 knots.
Another issue I’ve found is it seems that even though you pick a particular livery in the menu, it chooses a random color once in the sim. I don’t know if this is supposed to be a bug or a feature but its quite annoying. You can try reproducing this by selecting the Green/Yellow/Blue “passengers” livery and loading the sim. Its happened to me three times in a row so far (note the green livery selected in the tablet and the green wingtips in the screenshots).
Reverse thrust also does not work. When you drag all the throttles to the reverse detent, nothing happens. However If you move them back to idle, you get a “burst” of reverse thrust then back to idle.
UPDATE: The airplane seems to have a speed limit of 250 knots. With the in game HUD on the airspeed starts to flash red at 250, and shortly after, the airplane “crashes”.
This is despite in the menu and in the tablet it claims the plane has a cruise speed of 300 knots and no red bar appears on the airspeed tape on the PFD.
Also the Heads Up Display provided does not work. Even with the brightness turned all the way up.
This because if multiple issues are included in a bug report and only one or some are included in a future patch, it will prevent the bug report to be closed.
Also, if not already done, prior creating a report, please look for any existing similar bug, maybe one or various of the points you identified have already been reported.
Thank you.
I saw a video from Heart Aerospace about how happy they were having the ES-30 in MSFS 2024.
I wonder if THIS is what they were expecting…
I hope it is no the case and again there are some missing files or a wrong version is being streamed because this seems at least incomplete and not ready for release.
It would be very very nice if someone from MS could just ack in the forums if there is some error that is going to be fixed. Communications have not been stellar.
Hi !
How do you do that ?
I love this plane, I think it’s the most interesting one (hey, it’s electric, man)
I really hope all its bugs will be fixed asap
BTW, does anybody know where the f. throttle next detent switch is ?
the axis issue is the biggest one.
just a bit forward from idle, then ,the whole plane become crazy. seems there is an invisible full power reverse button activated. wired
Hey.
Throttle is weird at low values, ground idle and flight idle should be easy to reach.
With the lastest update Low voltage battery is drained within like 30-40min of flight, sth is seriously wrong with the battery usage.
Here some other issues i’ve found. Course is limited to 0-100 degrees, land light will on there even if gears up if you set it to on, and you can’t acess the cabin.
Same issues for me. The plane had an inexplicable engine failire after takeoff but could still fly. I skipped to approach and it didnt crash but landed on one engine. Mission success as soon as the plane came to a complete stop with no taxiing to gate.
The other time I used it, it failed as soon as I entered the plane, before startup, for no reason.
I’ve tried this plane 5 times today. Only 1 time I was able to fly without issues.
The 4 other times, it either gives me the mission fails, you’ve crashed right after the passenger boarding animation (or lack thereof), or the plane freaks out and flies backwards and rips over as soon as I release the parking brake.
Other issues are with the throttle. Increasing throttle from idle makes all engine go to max rpm? And decreasing throttle to idle enables reverse thrust, even in flight. Haven’t been able to get the plane to do anything with ils either vnav never enables.
Why does Microsoft allow planes to release in this state?
I think this is the wrong approach.
Every single aircraft has hundreds of bugs.
So what’s the point of filing hundreds of bug reports for one aircraft when you’re only supposed to report one bug?
Wouldn’t it make much more sense to allow one bug report for an aircraft, simply containing the title and the aircraft name, and allowing users to enter all the bugs they’ve found?
In my opinion, it would be more concise.
Cheers
Tried it yesterday after months of release, but Aircraft not following Flightplan in Nav mode. Even following HDG not possible. Landing gear stuck when started in white arch of speed.
