Heavy Cargo - No base sim plane for missions

I own the Aviator edition, so I’m not speaking for myself. Despite my frustration with the unavailability of heavy cargo missions due to various reasons… I don’t care why; they released an unfinished game.

The current state of MSFS 2024 and everything that has happened to it thus far strikes me as unusual and strange. The Career is a part of the completed game. Or it was meant to be. Asobo and Microsoft made no indication that any part of the game would be limited based on the edition purchased. It is obvious that if they had made such a ridiculous announcement, people would have rioted. You charge people for a full game, show them what they can play before release and then they discover they can’t access certain game content because they didn’t order an expensive enough edition that includes this or that aircraft? How does that make sense?

Give me a break; this is not supposed to be. One option is to sell planes that can be flown in free flight, while another is to bundle the game with a career and restrict access to some of the content in that section, despite the fact that players have already paid. It may sound similar to DLCs, but Career is not a DLC, and neither is one of the Career mode missions. This is unfinished content. If you lock a progression behind a specific plane, forcing people to purchase more expensive editions, you are engaging in an unfair practice that will almost certainly be challenged, causing additional problems for Asobo/Microsoft.

I strongly urge Asobo to take this into consideration and fix the game so that even those who purchased the standard edition can access all of the career mode missions. Hopefully, this is just a gimmick and will be fixed, even though different editions of the game will allow you to fly heavy cargo missions on planes other than the 320.

Also, I don’t understand the argument over the mods. In 2020, you could use any mod and do whatever you wanted, with or without a profile. All of a sudden, we have a career, and someone is ‘assaulted’ by the fact that people can use devkit in their careers. Why such a fuss over this? You either care or not if Bob or Sam have 1 billion in their careers while you have 100,000. This is not a competitive game, and nothing that happens in the career can or should affect anyone who enjoys playing MSFS 2024. The only online component here is flying with your friends, so I don’t understand the developers’ hatred for cheating money in some way and hiding it behind the guise of ‘Protection’ for user profiles.
