I’m increasingly baffled by the developers’ approach to development. We were told the heavy cargo missions would come in SU 3, then SU 4. I have now buyn the A330 (cargo)200 million), but there are still no Heavy Cargo Missions. What’s the point?
What’s more baffling is that the heavy cargo specialisation screen shows an A330, this is available and working currently in the liner category
i was waiting since SU1 for the heavy cargo missions and now i don’t believe we gonna get it with SU5 cuz i lost faith in them
ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue: No Cargo Transport - Heavy missions are available despite the fact that we have aircraft available for them to purchase within career mode: the Airbus A330-200. Why is the aircraft available if there are no missions for it??

The A330 cargo not listed could be related to this issue: The certification/rating of the A330-200 and A310-300 is incorrect
It could be related - I don’t know. How would I? All I know is that it shows up for heavy cargo and there are no missions for it. It’s on Microsoft and Asobo to determine why that is.
This report is bug-logged what means devs have been able reproduced the issue and a fix should be implemented in one of the next sim update.
Any ETA on the arrival of Heavy Cargo missions? I just used up all my credits to buy A330 for cargo company, only to find no missions, and then read in the forums that I should have bought it for the airliner company to have missions
. So I’ll be AFK until the missions arrive. Would be nice if we could track the progress of the issue somehow.
That’s really strange and confusing logic: Beluga appears in airplanes list but you cannot buy it because super heavy rating is not available. But you can buy A330 but there are no missions for it because heavy rating is not available as well. Wut? ![]()
Welp, at least cargo A330 can be used for passive income and it brings more than any other aircraft.
Even stranger is the fact that the Saab 340 doesn’t require a heavy rating and already works in airline mode. It is supposed to be able to fly heavy cargo missions, yet there are none available.
It has been reported 5 times + marked as released in 2 previous releases notes and shortly removed after 1 hour, it would not be a surprise if we wait 6 more months ahah
It’s because the 330 is available in passenger mission, beluga and other are not so It’s still locked
Heavy Cargo missions were pushed back from SU4 because they weren’t ready (I don’t know if they were tested in the SU4 beta, I thought they might have been). The fact they aren’t available isn’t a bug, it’s just unreleased.
@DementedCorn327 this might be fixed in game, assuming the A330 is in the base sim (not premium/deluxe etc). Originally nothing was configured correctly for heavy cargo in the base sim.
In relation to how this all fits together it’s not really that strange.
- A certification is a check against a specific discipline (i.e flying liners, night flying, turboprops). Most aircraft require some certain certifications (i.e tailwheel endorsments, turboprop certs, jet certs, liners, floats) to purchase or fly in career.
- A specialisation groups certifications and experience (i.e turboprop rating + x successful light cargo missions or whatever they are) that are more relevant to a type of mission. This governs access to missions but isn’t all encompassing.
- Any aircraft that is configured in a way that meets the requirements of a mission type should just drop in. These are more like ‘can it do IFR, is there a copilot, how much cargo can it carry’.
Lots of the categories have a requirement for a certification for propulsion type (i.e medevac turboprop, medium cargo turboprop so on so on) even there are piston and jets available for it.
it’s a generalised/modular system, not linear. It has to work for all mission types, and the issues here are not bugs
- You can’t buy a Beluga because you don’t have the certification. This is correct behaviour. Exactly the same in principle as if I was looking at a charter company and I couldn’t buy a Vision Jet, or CJ4 because I didn’t have Jet Engines certification.
- You can buy the A330 because you have the Jet Liner certification, you meet the requirements for flying the aircraft (even though there’s nothing to fly it on generating).
- The Saab meets the requirements of heavy cargo (even though the specialisation itself needs the pilot to have Jet Airliner rating).
Hello,
Are heavy cargo missions still unavailable? It’s very frustrating coming back years after the launch and purchase of multi hundred dollar edition, buying the aircraft in career mode and can’t find any heavy cargo missions? It says it’s available in game, but there are no heavy cargo missions that I can find. Is there a roadmap or some reason I can’t find them?
Thanks
what i hate on this game is Server updates u wait months for a thing that does not exist
Still not available ? That’s crazy…
