Helicopters Garmin not linking with CDI gauge - OK in fixed wings with same equipment

Does anyone else find that in Helis pressing the CDI button on the Garmins to select GPS has no effect on the CDI gauge?

It’s OK in fixed wing aircraft with same/similar equipment.

Any help/suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Note: I have tried removing 3rd party add-ons from community folder already.
