HELP! ATR-42/72 stick pusher always engages on final approach. What am I doing wrong?

Hello everyone. First time poster!

I am learning how to fly the ATR-42/72, and after numerous tutorials, and a lot of trial and error, I am able to fly the aircraft properly from C&D all the way to final approach (ILS). But that is when things always go wrong.

First I can never seem to lower my speed below 190kts. No matter of much I decrease the throttle, the speed doesn’t want to go down past 190 kts. Why?

Second, once I reach the point where I should catch the glideslope of the ILS, the stick pusher engages and AP disengages. Still no way to lower the speed at that point.

I was hoping someonw would be able to tell me what I am doing wrong.

Thanks for any help!

First, I would check to see if you have any Piloting Assistance settings on.
The AI co-pilot may be taking control of the aircraft.

If that isn’t the cause, and you are using a throttle, I would check to see if it is calibrated in the EFB.
