Hi I found myself not connected to the msfs servers, so I logged out with the intention of signing back in…however when i start msfs, I get a black square in the middle of the rhinoceros screen, with no dialogue in it…it then moves on to the old “press any button to start” screen, and cycles…
Be sure your logged into ms store and xbox app before you start msfs.

ive signed into MS store, still get the black box and press any button…
If you don’t already have it, it may be worth getting the xbox app, as that has helped others with account/connection issues. Sign into that then launch MSFS from there.
If you already have the xbox app, sign out of both that and MS Store, restart PC, sign back into MS Store, sign back into xbox app and launch MSFS from there.

Try pressing Alt+Enter, worked for me with the same problem (now in 2023 !!) . Following link helped me.
