Everything worked until today. Now, after the opening screens, I get "please update in Microsoft Store. When I click on that , it opens the Microsoft Store site but there is no option to update…just a “Play” button which takes me right back to the same process. If I ignore it and click “OK” in the sim, the sim closes. If I manually go to MS Store I again only see the play button- nothing allowing me to download or install any update. I cannot get the game to finish loading because it keeps taking me to the store! In the past, I went to the Store and clicked on Install, or the download icon. I am stuck! Anyone else having this issue? It just started this morning, which seems coincidental since it is March 4, the original date of the new Sim Update.

In the MS Store app, manually check for updates by clicking on “…” then Downloads & Updates.
Had to reboot the computer and then when I launched MSFS it took me to the mandatory update screen, then clicked ok and took me to the store- this time it started downloading. Weird. Certainly not User Friendly! Thanks for the reboot suggestion. When in doubt, reboot!
Ah yes, I should have mentioned that as that is what I had to do!

did everything described - no updates available in the MS Store for Flight Simulator. Reboot did not help as well. All the problems appeared after the Win10 update was installed (maybe a coincidence)
Check to make sure you don’t have any more pending Windows 10 updates. Those would stop Store and Store Apps updates from processing.

This is the most ■■■ backwards way of updating any Flight Simulator I ever used. How can MS make it so difficult?! It should be as easy as hitting an update button on the opening screen. Once again this sim is beautiful but poorly designed for actual use.

Did everything mentioned above and many other fixes found on the internet.
Re-installed FS2020. Played once and now back to same thing. Click Play in x-box app - takes to Store and it says “Try again”…
I even re-installed Win 10 (maintaining data and apps). Win 10 is now updated to the latest. Reinstalled x-box as well. No updates now on the Store so all is updated.
Dont know what to try nest other than a complete wipe of the disc and reinstall win 10 as well as FS 2020.
Anyone else haing this issue after SU10?
