Hi, im having some issues with a lot of lagging and stuttering.
I do believe I got a decent setup, but it must be something I’m missing…
any suggestion for settings?
my setup:
CPU: intel i9-10850K
GPU: nvidia rtx 3060TI

Hi, How’s your internet connection? Your internet connection could be causing the lagging…
Delete your rolling cache in the sim and then recreate it. Sometimes the data in the cache gets messed up.
Also, after doing that, in Windows, clear the shader cache (in storage settings) and reboot.
Hi, internet is 250mbps both down and up
Hi, I just did this, will do a test flight later, and update the result
Some graphics options are frame hogs but do little to enhance the on-screen image. Others do very little to frame rates while making your visuals pop.
The video below is old - it came out right after the sim was first released, so some of the current graphics options aren’t listed. But… It’s still a great reference for figuring out what you want for a starting point for graphic tweaks. It’s also long, so get a beverage, plus a pencil and paper to take notes. My first rig was a laptop with a Ryzen 7 and a 1060 gpu chip, but I was still able to get 30-40 frames/sec thanks to this video. Now I have a much more stout system (still not the latest and greatest though), and keeping most of my original settings lets me get ~80 FPS in good weather, and drops to maybe 45 in the worst of conditions.

I recently updated to the i91100K and RTX3070 Ti. At first trials, I wasn’t overly impressed with the sim in terms of stuttering. Then I decided to fiddle a bit and put my 1440 monitor refresh rate to 120 (instead of 165), have vsync and gsync enabled, keeping it at 33% locked fps. I’m now doing a perfectly steady 40 fps (even with the Fenix) with most settings ultra + FSLTL/GSX Pro. Totally happy with it now.
