I tried it in KSNA a couple of weeks ago. I found that I had to descend to FAF altitude manually (dial it in in the TBM and hold that altitude while approaching the final approach fix and when I saw the diamond come down I hit APPR and that way the TBM started its descent. I‘m not sure anymore though whether that was before or after SU5.
