I know you said you have a Quest 2. Honestly, I’d wait it out until 13th Gen Intel and Nvidia 4000 cards drop and relieve some of that consumerism itch by treating yourself to a Reverb G2 in the meantime.
You will enjoy an instant, and noticeable clarity boost, plus the G2 is much more comfortable and the audio is fantastic.
Then get a decent PC towards the end of the year. If you don’t want to spend crazy money I’d imagine a 13700k, 32 GB ram and a 4070 or 4080 will be a lovely machine, better than a 12900k, 3090 setup right now.
