Here is a video example of constant lightening in the sky

Location is central and west Africa(Angola/Namibia). There is no thunder in the real world weather(only few clouds condition) but as you can see in the game, I saw/heard at least 16 thunder strikes in a 4 minutes long video. And the constant sound of the thunder makes flying extremely irritating.

Yeah, the weather injection is really bad… Check out “Unreal Weather” or Rex. Hopefully they fix it one day…

No thanks, seeing the same weather all around is even worse than the lightning bug.

Yep I can confirm I’ve seen lightning in blue skies with very little cloud when I was flying in south America.

I do find it baffling some of the biggest issues are not being acknowledged by Asobo straight away. I would have thought they would have had dedicated teams reporting these inhouse.

You obviously aren’t using them right or have no idea what you are talking about… But thanks for chiming in…

You do realize thunderstorms are very likely in the late afternoon/early evening in that area in summer seasons?

I do agree it is very overdone and excessive though.

I think what he means is that the Unreal Weather while good, they don’t work the same way as how meteoblue does it. The Unreal Weather mod changes the weather in real time for your entire field of view. I’ve used it and the weather changes as I fly. Which means clouds appear and disappears instantly in front of my eyes as the mod “refreshes” the weather to follow the latest real time update.

Compared to meteoblue and how the game uses “blocks” and refreshes just that block when they come into view and stays there so it doesn’t break immersion.

Neither are perfect at the moment, but the lightning bug is more palatable that clouds appear and disappear in a blink of an eye the way Unreal weather does it.
