Hikig HOTAS Mount for Large Desks

Hey there!

If you’re like me and using an old wood dining table as your work/sim desk (because I like real wood and not a fan of MDF/particle board) with a fairly thick front mounting location then I would highly suggest the Hikig HOTAS Mount for Large Desks.

It is adjustable to fit a mount position that is up to 10"+ thick. My table is about 6" thick and this does the job perfectly for an Airbus-style setup to put the HOTAS where I would like without it being too tall sitting on the desk itself. It is made of good quality metal parts, but just a bit rough around the edges so be careful when in use. I took a chance on this mount off Amazon after they advertised it fitting thick desks and it works wonderfully. I have it paired to a VKB Gladiator EVO.

On Amazon, search for “JUYEER Desk Mount Compatible with Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Joystick and Throttle/../… and other HOTAS series flight simulation controller.”

I had been looking into a gaming table for a while now with about a 0.5-1" thick desktop, but after finding this mount and looking into some portable setups for my throttle, I will forego the new desk. Ideally will create an ultimate portable, movable solution for simming and working.

Cheers!

This is indeed good cheap highly compatible joystick/throttle mount though it takes bit of tweaking to assemble, I had to whip out a spirit level for the final adjustment.

That being said, if possible, I’d recommend ordering the J-PEIN desk mount, rather than the Hikig/Juyeer one which seems to be some kind of exactly identical Chinese knockoff of the original Korean mount. It’s not any more expensive either on Amazon US (but for example German Amazon only has the Hikig/Juyeer one for sale).

Looking at the Hikig’s, they look almost identical to my J-Pein (upgraded) adjustable desk mount.. Apart from the extra parts i see displayed on the J-Pein hotas/joystick/controller desk mount the parts used look exactly alike. Do yours also come with more brackets for the bottom of the joystick/throttle?
Could it be that they are all the same maker, just different names? i just googled for Hotas mount and Amazon showed up with a list of almost the same looking mounts…

I use them on my Obutto Revolution, as the mounts on it are kinda iffe in placement, as i’ve got wide shoulders, quite long arms… So, in the end i mounted the J-Pein’s to the Obutto mounts and never looked back. Alot more comfort now.

And as said… these deskmounts are HEAPS better than hunching over your desk with the joystick/hotas sitting on top of your desk. I’m not much of a DIY kinda guy, but after some playing around at assembling them, and attaching my controls, i really enjoyed the extreme level of comfort they brought me by just leaning my arms on my armrests of my office chair whilst sitting normally upright. That was at my desk, then i got the obutto and just wanted to fit my flightkit in there, the J-Pein’s adjusted just fine! Happy flyer here.

@Steinways yes they do so that your own specific HOTAS can fit.

I’m happy with it so far and for the price. I am in a temporary condition right now with my desk setup and needed this like you said to be comfortable instead of having the HOTAS too high up on the top of the desk.

The one I saw had all the parts displayed here (from Amazon US page of the J-PEIN mount):

…plus a collection of various extra bolts and such presumably intended for attaching the controller on the mounting. I doubt J-PEIN itself would sell off-brand since they are reasonably well known, even the go-to solution for cheap controller mount. Might be their Chinese affiliate… or something more shady.

That’s what mine looks like on the instructions and it works just fine!

I’m sure it works fine, it’s just tad shady (not faulting you on anything here) that there is this product being sold with two different brand names (Hikig and Juyeer) which is exactly identical to another, older and more established product. I just felt I should give heads up on that.
