I have a similar but also entirely different situation to you. I also plan to use vatsim with my home cockpit setup and I want to use a headphone/speaker setup to get a slightly more immersive sounding sim. In my case I plan to directly plug my headset into my PC, and run my audio from vpilot through my headphones, then run the game noise through the speakers so it’s split audio.
This could work for you too if you want to use headphones, but this is just my thought on the entire topic.
