HondaJet CDU function

I realized (from YouTube tutorials), that my CDUs in the HondaJet are linked. What is displayed in the left one is also displayed in the right. In the tutorials, you can observe that they are not linked and can control different functions in the avionics. The tutorials show that LEDs in the upper left of the CDU bezels are illuminated. I noticed that in my aircraft, the left CDU seems to have an illuminated LED in the upper left if the bezel, while the right CDU LED is not illuminated. I’m supposing this is an indication of the fact that they are linked. I can’t find any useful information in the Honda POM and I’m not sure how to activate the right CDU, or if it is even possible. I thought it might be related to the Working Title G3000/5000 mod, but I thought that was incorporated in one of the last updates. Any ideas?

I haven’t checked mine to see if it works, but if what you’re talking about is possible in the sim, I’m pretty sure you’ll need the TBM930 upgrade from the Marketplace. It’s a free optional addon from WT that enables different displayed info on the two PFD’s, but I’m not sure that it would have any effect on the Honda.

After I get done running the last of the updates from the latest WU, I’ll check my Honda, but I think the two controllers will show different info. Not sure about the PFD’s.

OK… Bear in mind that I’m running the TBM Garmin upgrade. I haven’t removed it to see if it makes a difference, but I’m definitely able to have different information shown between the two Primary Flight Displays and the Control Display Units.

By the way, according to the listing in the Marketplace, you need a stout rig to run that upgrade.

Choose a livery without Lite in the name.

Thanks, everybody! Following advice, I checked for any issues in the Community folder, went thru the Discords, no joy.
The last little bit of advice, the livery, I knew for sure that I didn’t have a Lite version chosen, but just to be sure, I checked.
Did you hear that popping sound? That was me pulling my head out. Sure enough I’d inadvertently picked the Lite version (and I know better, I had trouble with this some time ago). Chose the regular version Livery and Bingo! All is well, both CDUs behaving properly.
Going back to my flight now, totally embarrased…

What may have happened is that the Lite liveries used to be listed last, but now they’re listed first. It’s easy to pick the wrong one if you’re not careful.

Exactly what I thought. And sure enough, careful and unrelenting attention to detail would have avoided the issue. Thanks again!
