Honeycomb Alpha Yoke what a game changer

Have had my Honeycomb Alpha Yoke for about a week and a half now and what a difference.
There is virtually no dead zone on either axis and everything in controlling the aeroplane is so precise.
Such a big leap from the Logitech yoke that I was using.
Have a Honeycomb Bravo Throttle setup on preorder and if it is anything like the yoke in precision…WOW.
Still using my Logitech throttle setup and trim wheel but, can’t wait for the new Honeycomb Bravo.
The other companies are going to have to pick up their game to come anywhere near what Honeycomb has produced.

I have to say the Honeycomb kit does look a cut above.

I may invest in a few months and also in the bravo and airbus throttle pack - looks awesome

If you have the funds to get the yoke do buy it.
As a one time real life pilot, I have found that my landings, approaches and other control inputs are as close to real life as can be in a sim.
I know it is rather expensive but, I think, worth the outlay if you are serious about dining.
Happy flying.

I agree 100%. I was lucky to see the Alpha Yoke go on sale on the Honeycomb site about 2 weeks ago. It did come from Hong Kong. It’s a solid 15 pounds and setup was so easy. Plug and play.
It is a game changer by far. Wondering when the Bravo Throttle will be available again. I saw they are having issues in Hong Kong with deliveries.
I just now ordered the Logitech G (Saitek) multi panel and radio panel on Amazon for $149.99 each. Whew this stuff starts adding up.
But I would really recommend the Honeycomb hardware over anything else.

The only thing that disappoints me about the yoke is now stiff the pitch axis is. Maybe it’s just me use to flying ultralights in real life where you use a couple of fingers to change pitch.

Yeh mate…just you…I have flown ultra lights and GA for a while…the pull is completely different on both…generally quite heavier on GA aircraft…Honeycomb yoke has to be the best bang for your hard earned…have just ordered the Bravo Throttle after seeing a number of glowing reviews, as my current CH throttle quadrant is starting to play up…no complaints, as it has served me well over many years.

Yes the Honeycomb is on order also in Germany on aero soft webpage.
What is your impression on up-down pitch, some critics say the spring should be softer.

Gabtypes are heavier but, you don’t need much travel to get airborne and use trim to do the hard work

have orderd mine, will arrive next days. hope is step up compared with my old Saitek X.36 ! :grinning:

My warranty was void after 2 days: I am using it with my TM HOTAS throttle and had to turn the trimswitches by 90 degrees on the rhs. Now it´s superiour within the range of yokes between 100 and 1000 bucks. I´d love to see some smaller clamps though.

Just a note on the Logitech Yoke; the dead-zone is built into the firmware, not hardware. I replaced the controller with a generic joystick controller, using the same sensors/hardware -> no dead zone, absolutely precise movements.

Hey guys, my Honeycomb Alpha Yoke will arrive today, yay!
Are the mounts on the yoke working for the Saitek-Panels or do i need to drill some holes?
Thanks

Mate, the Logitech stuff will screw right on top of the bravo, no need to drill holes
