(not been updated in a LONG time - “…the new simulator…” refers to MSFS 2020 NOT MSFS 2024!)
Run the .exe file AFTER starting MSFS 2024 (doing it before generates an error - which doesn;t happen with MSFS 2020 by the way) and the lights SHOULD work. It is prone to choosing randomly to not work, so not 100% guaranteed! YMMV
