Curiosity got the better of me - just tried the Logitech throttle slider and whoa! That sure did fix the latency problem! You can see the sims trim wheel spin nearly full deflection and it tracks the pot perfectly. The throttle slider is pretty sensitive, but that can be fixed in code. The combination of the encoder and an axis might work out pretty good. Wonder why the Honeycomb Bravo does not do this? I’ll get started on that one tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up on that one!
