Honeycomb yoke trouble

I haven’t really seen this issue anywhere else but I am using the honeycomb alpha and I seem to cannot use the buttons on the yoke unless I am using left or right input from it, also I had to unbind my batt/avionics switches along with all the lights because if I use them the heading indicator and other various instruments with knobs, etc will only go in 10 degree increments always.

It used to be like this in the alpha, but was fixed. I’m surprised it’s showing up again.

Did you make any changes to you configuration prior to noticing you had a problem? Are any of your switches or buttons assign elsewhere? I’d check this first before perhaps deleting the yoke from the Sim, unplugging the yoke, shutting down the Sim and computer, replugging in the yoke, rebooting the computer and restarting the Sim.

Mine’s worked perfectly. The switches and buttons I’ve left alone, but I deleted the assignments for the control surfaces and reassigned them in FSUIPC.

Good luck!

This sounds like you may have a bad connection between the yoke handle and the base of the yoke.
check the wire may need to replace it if it isn’t the actual connection that’s damaged.
Stupid design flaw no idea why they used such a short cable.

Which cable are you talking about the, one that you can unplug/unplug or one internally?

I do not think this is a hardware issue after some testing.

My fault, it seems to be a hardware issue input is not detected from any button unless I hold in the cord connected to yoke from the base, the other issue still stands though.

Yeah that’s the cord I’m on about it to tight when you turn the yoke left and right the cable moves in the socket I don’t understand why they haven’t changed the cable for a slightly longer cable.

I stretch the cable out now and then and with the cable in a certain orientation it doesn’t move about so much. It needs a longer looser cable your not the first person to have had this happen.

I know the switches in the base are separate from the control part, but maybe the cable issue is upsetting things. Contact Honeycomb they should help you out with a replacement cable, hopefully it’s just the cable and not the socket it goes in.

My cable has to be held in or my yoke switches sometimes do not work. Have tried longer cables, but might have to make bracket to hold connector tight to yoke body.

or better yet, get it replaced. it’s a known problem.

Had it a while . Probably out of warranty. Poor design, unfortunately.

its 5 year warranty

Hi

Do you happen to know if Honeycomb has done anything to fix the cable problem since it is well known?
