Anyone else having runaway throttle on approach problems? What happens to me, almost every time, is when I’m stable on an ILS about 3 miles from touchdown the throttle suddenly goes to GA power and the a/c loses the glide slope and climbs. I’ve tried lots of things to prevent this but can’t solve it. I wonder if my airspeeds on approach is too low. but I don’t know.
Thanks.
Thank you for your post!

Thanks. I guessed wrong again. : )
Since Asobo made the 787 fly like an Airbus this definitely looks like a too low airspeed problem.
The pitch attitude on the 787 should be around 0deg until you start the flare.
If the nose points e g. 5deg up, you are way too slow.
Thanks, I think you are right–thinking back I’m sure my pitch angle in approach is higher than that. I’m thinking the a/c senses a problems and initiates a go around. It knows what it’s doing but apparently I don’t . : )
Do you have any Piloting Assistance settings on?
MSFS has the habit of changing these settings without your knowledge.
That could cause this.
Glad I could help. Btw. It doesn’t initiate a go around. If you are too slow, the computers are simply adding max thrust to help in accelerating the plane. Depending on how Asobo has Implemented this system, the natural tendency on planes like the 787 is a severe nose up moment, especially at low speed.
7Fly–all assistances (except taxi strip) are off. Good thought though.
PZL104—really good info, thanks so much. Sounds like first hand experience. ?
It’s the experience of +17000 hrs RL airliner flying and countless sim hours.
Not sure if my old guide still works:

Read your guide–well done, learned a couple things. Thanks again.
