Hot memory sensor readings

Is anyone else getting extremely hot memory readings when playing MSFS. I use an open form factor case as well as a memory cooling fan, and yet I am seeing readings of 55c.
Even when I run an intensive memory stability programme I never see it go past 40c.
AMD system 5950
Memory @ 3800/1900
Nvidia 3090 GPU.

55 is fine.

Not really for an AMD system. +45c can cause stability issue on Ryzen.

That’s not entirely accurate. Highly overclocked RAM can start throwing errors above 50c, but I emphasis CAN and not WILL. Overclocked RAM is particularly sensitive to temperature. The normal max temperature for DDR4 is close to 80c.

For a “normal” system, 55c should still be fine. Not sure what you’re worried about if you’re not getting any memory errors. You have no benefit in performance by keeping RAM cool unless you’re getting heat-related errors.

The reason your RAM heats up during MSFS gaming is probably related to heat from your other components. I’d first look at your case airflow. Crank up those case fans to get heat away from your components.
