I don’t know about the xbox, but this is an issue on PC as well but there’s a fix on PC so maybe it also will work on xbox. It seems some aircraft now use “throttle 1 axis” instead of the normal throttle axis. So maybe try changing to throttle 1 axis.
Regarding the mouse not working, I had similar on the PC. I found that “home cockpit mode” was enabled under the camera settings. Turning that off fixed my mouse problems.
unfortunately doesnt work for the console. set up “axis 1” ,also deleted the first axis but no joy. mouse still wont move the power lever but F2 and F3 on the keyboard work for the BD-5J at least. will reinstall the others as the keyboard is better than nothing. ended me buying new aircraft though for the sim. thanks for the help my friend
the next confusing thing with the Bd-5j , using the keyboard for throttle control if i touch the hotas throttle it takes the power down to idle. so if on finals i put back on the throttle which kills the power ,then push forward i get control of reverse thrust. which i didnt know i had! it is so messed up
Sorry it didn’t work for you but this is the same symptom I was having prior to switching to “throttle 1 axis” for the hotas. I was using the mouse to adjust the throttle when the hotas didn’t work. I’d get it set where I wanted but as soon as I touched my hotas throttle it would quickly slide down to the zero position. This was on the new F-35 aircraft for me. Fortunately I fixed my problem.
So it seems it’s a similar problem with similar symptoms. Maybe try some of the others. I think I’ve seen up to 4 throttle axis in the settings.
thank you , will try that tomorrow. keyboard is not the end of the world and also i`m lucky so far only four planes are affected. it has started another weekend of Asobo hate after live weather collapsing last week so Hopefully a mid week reversal will happen. this never happened in flight 98!
Please excuse my bad English: is not my native language.
I use a Thrustmaster HOTAS on the Xbox and recently I can not fly the BD-5. As soon as I give throttle, the throttle in the game turns to reverse thrust (didn’t know that the BD-5 can do that). I now have a button assigned to reverse thrust so I can turn it off. But as soon as I touch the thrust control, it is back to reverse thrust.
If I understand this correctly, so I need to swap the joystick axis for the thrust control. But then isn’t it reversed for all other planes? Do I always have to swap the axis when changing the aircraft?
hi debort, others have gone into control settings and sorted out an “axis one” on there hotas throttle to get back throttle control. it didnt work for me. but there is an update on the way for the BD-5
I use the Hotas One on Xbox and have no issue with the MB-339. I will post a picture of my settings tomorrow. I don’t have the other aircraft to try, sorry
Also not that I use my controller along with the Hotas and not a mouse
finally got round to re-assigning the throttle and now all planes are fully throttle controlled again on the hotas. easy job in the end. what this has shown me is that not all design houses are equal, so i now have my favourites and others to avoid.
