OP, please confirm in your report this is the default EGLC and not a third party addition.

I have this addon installed:

Even though its custom its doesn’t get the starred icon though, like EGLL, and Paderborn.

I’ve spawned at EGLC, and saw this in the first few minutes:

I’ve had this scenery installed since it came out, and I have never seen a floating plane here before.

Other aircraft seem fine:

Now that same jet has its wheels on the ground again:

Earlier aircraft that was on the ground just pushed back, and is now off the ground:

I think this issue only occurs at the East end of the airport.

Yes, there is an invsible hump on the taxiway. By the time the jet had taxied down to B its wheel had made contact with the ground. At E they were off the ground, and climbed to a peak around C, then the wheels came back down to contact the ground at B:

It seemed to extend to the runway as well. As I was double checking the taxiway names, I noticed the jet that had entered the runway at B was now on its takeoff roll. It was suspended above the runway then as well.

I could not replicate with my own plane though.

It was indeed the stock, regular EGLC.

I have seen quite a few aircraft “hover” over the ground since launch at quite a few airports around the world.

One thing I have noticed that they all have in common is that the aircraft concerned represent multiplayer aircraft from other “live” players rather than AI aircraft either injected into the sim or from “live traffic”.

I have assumed that the reason such aircraft appear to hover is that the other “live” player is using a different version of the airport to the one I use and the airport elevation for the version that they are using is slightly different to the elevation that I am using.

I would be interested to hear if the aircraft in question in the OP was an AI aircraft or a multiplayer aircraft?

The hovering ones I saw were both other players, not live/AI, going by the nameplate. I’m pretty sure you are right, and what I am seeing are other players that do not have the OrbX scenery installed, and there is nothing to “fix”, as it were.

Hi,
If you are still seeing this error, could you try turning on traffic nameplates and attach the picture(s)? I’m curious to see if these floating aircraft are other players in multiplayer or AI/realtime traffic.
Thanks!

I haven’t seen this since, but I’ll try again at EGLC.

I just flew into EGLC again, and saw another floater but only for about 2 seconds. It was a GA plane and about the same 10ft off the ground, but disappeared when I went to take a photo. There were airliners there too (it’s a busy airport) but they were all correctly on the ground. I’m using the default MSFS with only the EGSS airport as an add on and also I’m on the SU9 beta.

Hey, I’m sorry, I did not see this post earlier. (Maybe you clicked “Reply to Topic” instead of to me.)

If it was a GA plane, I’m thinking it was probably another player. There are GA planes for real-time traffic, but there are very few, making the odds better that it was another player using the default airport. If you see another, I would appreciate a screenshot when you get a chance!
