You can submit a ticket and try, but I doubt they’ll refund you.
I thought there’s a small number of refunds (2?) you can request per year?
I think this was changed but don’t quote me on that
Funny, because then it flies perfectly with the prop brk engaged, to be clearer “as if it were not with the propeller stopped”, or is this a normal condition?
It’s a French plane, can be totally normal.
I know that, before I did all the procedures to lock the propeller, drive the engine 2, then unlock and worked, but now, whatever you do, the propeller just does not unlock, the only way to have it released is never to lock it, so this is a bug!
Did you press the small button below the throttles to activate the electric auxiliary hydraulic pump? It activates for 30 seconds and provides the hydraulic pressure necessary to release the prop brake. This was changed at the last ATR update to align with the ATR real world behaviour.
Pretty sure its needed to set the prop brake as well. Make sure the green Ready message next to the prop brake switch is illuminated before setting or releasing the brake. Its coded to work if the right sequence is followed but can be messed up by following an incorrect sequence.
It doesn’t work if you have left engine running. This is a bug
Agreed. If you try to activate the prop brake without using the button you’re stuck. Button must be used. I think it still works with the left engine running as long as you press the button first.
Coding things to work when the right sequence is followed is relatively straight forward. Trying to code so that all other sequences, that would work IRL, work as well is much more complex. Any one of the three hydraulic systems can operate the prop brake IRL but in sim only the auxiliary system works.
Is there a plane in this sim that can can ever be described as being completely free of what could be described as ‘bugs?’
The answer is of course “No.”
Just reading the topics list on a daily basis should tell you that simple fact.
The other fact is that many of those ‘bugs’ have workarounds, and some we just have to accept as a fact of life.
