Me too. I keep flying private pilot missions without skipping but I cant earn past 3000 credits to be able to take the CPL after rotorcraft training. Seems like a bug.
Same here , after passing the PPL I only have 3000cr left and the CPL exam costs 3500cr !
How can I earn additional CR’s instead of XP?!
Why can’t I earn money doing the many tourist Missions available ?
This is a big bummer not to advance in Career Mode…

My problem resolved. My bad ! But I still believe that after graduation for PPL you could already start earning credits by doing touristics flight. Not only after CPL.
me too no payment. Cannot advance in career mode. Nothing works.
Don’t. Amass just enough to complete all certs. Grind a little flightseeing with your 172 freebie, then sell it, complete all certs just fly Employee.
You’ll fly anything you want at any time as an Employee. Good luck stringing 3 cargo missions together as a Freelancer.
I think you draw an unrealistig negative picture.
It topk me like three hours to earn both the commercial pilot as well as the commercial helicopter license.
Without skipping any step during the missions on my way there.
Then it is easy to earn like 1500 credits within like 45 minutes which means the next steps that cost like 7400 cr. will take like another 4 hours. Being done with that will make the missions interesting and entertaining.
You will earn way mire credits and i am sure, the missions from the trailer will definitely available after sth like 4 ton5 days of playing like 3 to 4 hours a day.
Thats not what I would call suffering.
And to be honest, even flying the default cessna around my home spot with some kind of purpose is more fun than doing it in the 2020 with ‘no reason’.

Just started career, and now it’s my turn to suffer the standstill at 3000 “cr” - stays there even after 4-5 different missions.
As a “bonus” I get the endless option to uncover covers, chocs and some fancy cloth saying “remove before flight”…

i have exactly the same problem.I am stuck on 3000 cr.This doesnt help if i need 3500 cr for my helicopter license.I just found a way to buy 520 simcoins,but this would cost me (hold on) a whoping €147 euros!!!
Having played career mode (aircraft side for last few days). The method is
Get your IFR cert quickly so you can start earning credits.
Then gain XP as quickly as possible which opens you up to more activities & riskier flights with more credit payout. You get quite a lot of XP initially from skydiving missions (and credits) and any star/highlight mission you see are time limited, so jump on those and you get tons more XP and way more credits.
That way you can afford the various certification tests to progress. Specialisations open up too with with higher credits available. eg Medivac transportation missions seem to pay out well.
Also try to recognise when something isn’t going to work. I think many missions are autogenerated, so you end up with a wide variety of airfields. Some of which are highly inappropriate for the aircraft involved and some have features that a tank would be more suited lol, so don’t crash needlessly, & know when to abort a mission. No point in needlessly losing reputation with scenery issues.
