The way the game ranks landing performance has nothing to do with real live. Yes, you want to aim for the center line and touch down as gently as possible. But you want to use the runway length to slow down and avoid exercising the brakes too much. In small GA planes, they overheat quickly. Hammering the brakes like in the flight training will only wear off the tires. Both are very costly mistakes in real live. So please do not bring that to free flight.
Free flight is the only place where I can SIM instead of play.
