I just want to enjoy the rain or snowfall while still being able to see in front of me. If I get rid of the fog by raising the clouds, the rain/snow stops.
I am also trying to that any help?
I can only get rain or snow in fog or inside the clouds. How can I get rain under the cloud level so that I can see in front of and beneath of me ?
Sofly Weather Preset Pro has these settings. Very very inexpensive compared to what you can spend for add-ons.I use it myself.
You think think though that MS would include it as an option though. Most rain/snow isnāt accompanied by fog!!
Can you specifically select rain with no fog and not have to be within a cloud before you can see it? eg: Rain UNDER a cloud.
Is Weather Preset Pro a collection of *.WPR weather presets added to the āLocalState\Weather\Presetsā folder?
Yes, there are several variants of rain, including precip rates (i.e. light, heavy etc.) which occur under a cloud base.
They are preset files, but Iād have to check exactly where they get stored. They appear in the drop down list along with MS presets when setting Weather either during Free Flight menu or in-flight from the Taskbar.
thanks for the tip but i would not prefer buying an addon just to get some weather presets. ı hope ms will implement more scenarios
Like in Married With Children:
āYou canāt have one without the otherā.
Snowfall, for example, is differentiated in aviation not by the water content coming down but by how much the visibility is impacted. In other words: if you have good visibility, you canāt have more than the slightest snowfall.
And individual flakes seen from a distance is virtually indistinguishable from fog.
I can ensure you that many of us already wondered that.
Something must be wrong with the rain engine as the sim only creates rain with clouds licking over the ground, I try to raise the bottom of the cloud layer above ground a few feet then no rain at all. The dev should have already looked into it, not sure they are even aware of it.
The result is no different again with SoFly, as it uses the sim rain engine. Itās either fog or no rain.
