With a single engine moving a single throttle with the mouse (or hand controllers) is no problem. But how do I move all the levers for a single function (throttle) at once when there are more than one?
Lol you don’t. Asobo built a fundamentally broken implementation. Might as well have not even built it if this was the result.
Ah, the VR controllers are useless, nice.
You have to use your hands to move the levers together. Just like you would do in real life.
It has nothing to do with Asobo. You need to move the levers all at the same time. On a GA airplane is not that complicated since is only two engines, usually, but with jets, it usually has to be handle both by the pilot and the copilot during take off. After that is managed by the flight computer.
Are you saying I have to use my left and right hand to move the throttle just as real pilots do?
Has everything to do with Asobo. You can only select one throttle control at a time.
I just used the key bind THROTTLE for the F18 instead of keybinds THROTTLE ONE and THROTTLE TWO I don’t know if that is any help to you but it worked for me. It works with 2 or 4 engines.
Real pilots don’t use both hands to change the throttle. And what about 4 engine planes?
How would you use a keybind with motion controls? This question is about using the controllers to move the throttle.
Sorry if I misunderstood. What is the difference in the binding process?
There’s no binding at all, it’s like using the mouse pointer.
I had a look at a couple of videos and see what you mean, I am surprised throttle is not defaulted to all engines and not just one. It is a shame because increasing throttles one at a time with a mouse is not immersive and is and oversight by Asobo. I hope a fix is found soon.
I was being sarcastic about using two hands for moving the throttle
It’s nothing less that game breaking when using hand controllers. It’s a feature that needs to get in as fast as possible. I cannot believe that their VR testing guy hasn’t told enyone about this huge miss. I would love to see Asobo do VR testing in anything with more than one engine.
They obviously don’t have a VR testing guy since it doesn’t work at all.
sorry perohijo, you are totally wrong, normally the pilot flying handles all the throttle levers and they are built in a way that you can move all of them at once with only one hand… I am a real airline pilot trust me
this implementattion is a piece of ■■■■, I can’t believe that they couldn’t do a multi-throttle manipulator like in X-plane 11 which is positioned tactically to allow also single engine handling in case of engine failures, I’m very disappointed with Asobo… is ridicoulous this type of controller support…
confirm, real pilots use only one hand for the thrust levers, for the 4-engine planes the throttles are designed in a way that you can grasp them with one hand!
I totally agree with you, this implementation is flawed and I can’t believe they didn’t think about it! ridicoulous
