I’ve Googled this and I’ve read posts outside of this Forum but… nothing I do will allow me to open the door on the Vision Jet. The EFB (or whatever you want to call the limited-feature Tablet that pops up) has an option for the luggage door but nothing for the main cockpit door. Clicking the door handle in external view or the cockpit view does nothing. I tried with Cold and Dark as well as up and running. Surely this very well designed airvcraft has an option for this but where is it?
Personal Comments and Observations
2020 has no concept of a walkaround, so external removal/actions wasn’t really a thing. There’s no Avatar to enforce actions like removing chocks and covers, etc. in 2020. It’s strictly an external camera.
The VAMS tablet at the time was actually very innovative, few developers had preset states, and FlightFX started a trend with our Noise Reduction headset simulation among other things.
You can use the slew commands inside the cabin to move around, and get access to the internal door. See my video.
Wow! So there is a way to do it. You just can’t do it from the pilot postion as the seat, even using the mouse to rotase the view, is in the way of the handle. Thanks! That was good information. I love the aircraft. I just was stumpted with the door.
Well….. I did what your video showed. Got in the cockpit, rotated view and moved back so the door handle was clear and … nothing worked. The door handle does not move or show a clickspopt when I hover the mouse over it. I still have no way to open that door. Everything else in the aircraft works as it is supposed to so the installation is good. Any ideas??
I tried again and this time it worked. Don’t ask me why- I did nothing different. I guess all is OK.
