Yea this strickly for my own. Did not want to change the camera’s or weights in the default aircraft folders.
Do I take the [VARIATION]
base_container = “…\Asobo_Longitude”
out of aircraft.cfg?
No don’t think you can do that otherwise the other cfg files will be missing. Not sure what to tell you now if that did not work.
What I found you can do is
In SimObjects\Airplanes\ create two directories, your livery files directory with a unique name, and a second directory matching the name of the directory in the base package. Put your cameras.cfg and flightmodel.cfg in the base-directory directory.
Such as
SimObjects\Airplanes\myC152livery
SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_C152 (or whatever it is, I’m at work so don’t know the exact path).
Of course the cameras.cfg and flightmodel.cfg will now replace those files in all liveries of the plane, but, I assume that’s what you want, anyway.
I like this even more. Thanks!!
I believe that the longitude is only available on premium de luxe version of the sim and i think it has no default camera.cfg but like the post above it should be possible to copy the complete aircraft map of the longitude to the community folder and from there you can create this camera.cfg.
But in the sim hangar you have to choose and select the copied version.
Other way to select is in dev mode and under tools select aircraft and look for longitude, the original will be in yellow so choose the other.
My method affects all versions, since it is replacing the default cameras and flight model config files.
It’s just standard VFS file interaction.
