I am on steam and the person I’d like to gift a plane for, doesn’t play on Steam.
Is there a way to buy a marketplace plane already in your inventory and gift it to someone else?
(I’m not trying to give away a plane I already purchased. I’m fine with keeping mine, I just want to give a friend the same plane and I’m fine paying for it a 2nd time)
Microsoft Store Gift card?
Is this something you’re familiar with? I don’t have much info for the recipient as it’s just an online friend and people are understandably private about their personal info.
Also I tried calling their toll free # and was disconnected. I really don’t want to jump through hoops just to give someone a gift card or plane.
I already looked into paypal and unfortunately my pp account hasn’t been used in so long that the 2 phone #'s they have for me are old outdated #'s and they don’t allow me to change the ph# they only allow me to choose one of the defunct phone #'s so paypal isn’t an option either.
Can you purchase it directly from the creator?
They often have “contact us” info and can probably show you how to do that.
If it is sold through a 3rd party vendor such as simmarket, they can advise as well.
Purchase in any Sim Market outside of Steam or Microsoft.

Airplanes bought on the Marketplace cannot be transfered to Steam and vice versa. You can buy a 50$ Microsoft Voucher as a gift.
Just an FYI, do NOT purchase a ms gift card. Only if the purchaser and recipient are in the same country.
I ended up spending close to 2hrs on the phone.
I actually verified with MS via their customer support what I wanted to do, and asked if I could gift the gift card to an online friend
They told me I could.
I gave them money.
They accepted my money.
Then the recipient couldn’t get the redemption code to work.
So, customer service said I could do it. I tried. It wouldn’t work because he’s in a different country(I would have LOVED to have known that when I inquired before I purchased).
Since he couldn’t use the gift card, I wanted a refund, understandably.
But “their systems aren’t set up to refund gift cards”.
So, Microsoft took my money after they verified I could do what I wanted, they couldn’t do what I wanted, and won’t refund me. I’m waiting 24-48hrs for someone to get back to me.
It was my friend’s birthday so I didn’t want to wait so I just ended up creating a 2nd PayPal account in order to pay him so he can purchase on his end.
