I still haven’t progressed far enough in my virtual career to be able to start my own little company and purchase aircraft. But I’m curious about whether I will be able to buy 3rd party aircraft eventually, and use them in missions?
Can someone elaborate a bit if and how Microsoft allows for 3rd party aircraft to “participate” in the career and missions system? I imagine a 3rd party aircraft would need to support the new wear/tear mechanism, be categorized (e.g. multi engine, turboprop, etc.) and specify a price range?
All I can say is that we understood it will be possible as long the aircraft is (also) sold on the marketplace. But at this moment, we do not have any further information.

Thanks!
I have to say it’s kind strange that not even you guys (3rd party providers) have insight into how this will work, even after the release. I would’ve assumed you should have had insight during the development, or at least the alpha/beta phase, so you could make the necessary compatibility work needed for the upcoming Marketplace.
I guess we’re really just in some open beta phase right now.
Feels more like early access or alpha. Beta is usually the last stage of testing before release with all features implemented.
In all honesty, the whole alphas/beta concept is more or less rendered moot these days, with so many games being released in unfinished state
