FS2020 #pc Update Loop issue. How I fixed the FS2020 Update Loop problem
Using the DVD collection installation.
Developer mode is off.
When I started FS2020 Premium Deluxe edition the other day it stated that there was a mandatory update for World Update 7 so I let it run and do its own thing, only to find that it was still running 2 days later and when I checked the files being downloaded and decompressed, it was the same four files.
To fix the issue, I installed FS2020 on my i7 notebook using the 10 DVDs which came with my original purchase and it started and upgraded itself without issues. I then copied the folder “\AppData\Local\MSFSPackages” from the notebook to my original FS2020 computer, copying the folder over the LAN network replacing the same folders in the target location.
Once completed, FS2020 seems to have re-indexed the data files, as it took ages to load up, however it started and I’m flying now!
