It is sad to hear that the patch did not solve your issue.
I do still CTD but I get a much better result with the following steps.
- start system
- cmd as admin - ipconfig /flushDNS
- reboot
- cmd as admin - ipconfig /flushDNS (without reboot)
- start sim
Sounds a bit weired especially that I have to flushDNS two times but with this steps I have a 50:50 chance of having the sim running.
If it runs with the current dns I can close it and restart the sim without CTD
Maybe worth a try. I know it sounds a bit voodoo but I would also sacrifice some chickenwings if needed 
So far I do only free flights, do not know if this will help with other modes as well.
