That pretty much confirms that the servers are not “throwing” data at you fast enough as you fly across more locations.
Their servers are probably really slow or so clogged/bottlenecked that they can’t stream the photogrammetry data efficiently enough.
For me, right now, as i like to flight airliners and connect to VATSIM in free flight mode, if i had three main topics to adress it would be the following ones :
VRAM and memory Leak when approaching, or when parked in an airport (5 to 10 FPS with big stutters, and when i’m leaving the airport or flight a GA model i get up to 80 fps…) . I’m flying with TLOD at 200 because i feel that mountains or landscape are very “flat” under this figure. Everything else is on Medium and in 1080p.
Weather automatically in correlation with the time you set in the simulator. That is nice, but i would like to have the opportunity to flight real time weather, at daylight, even if it is 11pm at home.
Joystick custom assignements not sticking to the aircraft even if you tick “default setting” and "apply to all aircraft.
When those three things will be fixed up, a large amount of the community flying big airliners, in big airports, with a VA and/or VATSIM/IVAO, will throw FS2020 away, and have the amazing pleasure to flight in 2024, because yes, i think the basis of the game are solid, and we have to thanks microsoft/asobo for the job they did so far, but for me, it is not enjoyable in the current state of the sim, mainly because of the three “problems” mentioned. (And the first one is for me THE one, because we can’t all afford to update a PC, “just” for a simulator…)
Photogrammetry is a whole other level of pain. I keep it off as my 70mb connection has no chance of streaming that in addition to everything else
I’ve abandoned MS2024 until they fix the controller issue. Apart from the many other numerous issues, I spent more time remapping my controller after it reset itself than actually flying. Until that’s fixed, there’s no point wasting more time on this.
Yesterday, I could fly missions. Today, like most days, the Accept Mission cannot be clicked. Are you lucky? Yes, you are getting what you paid for. Good for YOU! Some of us are not!
Thankfully, not having controller mapping issues anymore but whenever I launch the game, live weather resets to “custom”.
I have to ltierally manually set it to “live” every single time. It’s already set to “Live” from the options. Are you facing similar issues? I’m on Xbox at the moment.
Absolutely no such issue in 2020 - I’ve played it on everything from a 20mb to 50, 100 and 150mb connection. It looked and ran amazingly well most of the time.
FS24, the moment you fly over heavy photogrammetry cities where buildings and objects are tightly packed together, such as London, Paris, NYC, and other similar locations, it just goes down the gutter. All you see are jagged edges, melted candles, polygons, and broken crayons stick out from the ground. The higher you are the worse it looks. Ironically, if you fly really low and slow it starts to look better because I’m guessing it has to work with a much lower draw distance.
Always had the rule of thumb for photogrammetry in 2020: on for GA, off for Airliners

So, it’s got to be a bug then affecting users at different levels. In the last several sessions in a row, for example, I’ve had to manually set it to “live”.

Every single morning, WEST USA, I can’t play any mission, both Employee or Freelance. This is daily occurrence. Now when I come back around 11am, the sim may load these missions and work. There is something extremely wrong when this has been happening “daily” for weeks!
6am till 8:30am example of not loading a mission. Accept Mission button not clickable/available:
UPDATE: It’s now 11:00am, just shortly before this I can now fly missions. But at
5 to 10:30 am, Accept Mission button is not clickable. This happens every single morning on the WEST.
I have photogrammetry on at all times in 2020 with zero issues. It’s never turned off and if for some reason it does get turned off the world instantly looks like fs9 or worse. There is absolutely no reason to turn it off
