As so many users: Installation was bad, first game starts were bad, bad, bad.
After MS fixed the start problems I had a couple of days wich were quiet well and it started to be real fun.
Meanwhile I have an FPS issue that makes it impossible to fly - or even start the flight. 4-8 FPS is the main range I achieve. Last week - in the fun days - I had up to 30 FPS (goal setting in the configuration). Even flying over Paris with settings between high and ultra was 15 - 20 FPS.
It lasts less than a minute after starting a flight and the FPS drops from the desired 30 down to a 1-digit something. And it does not even recover after returning in the configurations menues.
There is a small difference between an analogue C-172 (higher in the 1-digits) and the glass cockpit Daher (3-5 FPS).
Right now it is a waste of time to even start the sim.
Not even going into details of functions that are not working even in the basic airplanes…
But something more to starting the sim and downloading data:
It is pretty slow, while I have very good down- and uploadrates usually.
Often Windows taskmanager shows low kBit rates over WLAN while starting the sim.
When - for a test - I start another program which downoads stuff (E.g. YouTube with 4k videos), that goes fluently and Win TM shows higher MBit download rates.
So: Why does’t MSFS take the possible high dl capabilities of my computer and Internet connection?
Seems there ist still a very small bottleneck at their servers.
My computer is almost exactly the recommended medium equipped system.
Sorry, Microsoft, but this is a big mess and I look forward to updating to a usable version (my “fun days flying” were soooo promising…).
