i wouldnāt say āmitigatedā because there are still some people struggling even to load inā¦ now, i donāt know exactly if this is server-related, but iād say pretty much so.
Even most basic stuff like āworking brakesā, AP following GPS etc. is working / not working erratically. Nothing ājust worksā - you can have a plane that seems to work and then the brakes fail. Or you get punished during a career mission for having the flaps out - overspeed - BUT YOU ARE ON THE FRIGGING GROUND!!.
This is just hilarious. Or I get fined during career mode for overflying non-existing airports.
Come one. Oh and donāt get me started with their 1990 AI-Voices. What is this? Is this what MS has on offer for AI voice? This is 30 year old stuff!!

No new update on fixing progress since yesterday is Microsoft just taking the weekend off despite all of these problems with no indication or roadmap of how this is gonna be handled??
Earlier this week had to pull a 12 hour day two times because of customer issues last minute must be nice for Microsoft to just say itās Saturday and not bother

Are you in the UK? If so - try using a VPN and logging into the US. I heard that may help?
UK simmer here. Absolutely no issues today, and Iāve finally been able to experience how beautiful the new sim is. Still a few graphical and aircraft-specific control bugs but Iām sure theyāll get sorted soon.

Still not working. Every 20th try I am maybe able to start a flight. The rest of the time I got CTD when I try to start a flight.

Iām stuck in the terrible Controls config. Instead of transferring them easy from 2020 to 2024 somebody thought it would be a greater idea to have me do it manually for all aircraft again. And even better, instead of clearing it all so I could at least start from scratch it always puts in the awful default bindings when I press āclearā.
Honestly, after 2hrs of suffering through this procedure making no progress whatsoever I give up. Maybe Iāll be in the mood for it some day else since the first glimpse into the carreer mode looked really promising and I actually want to dive in. But under my conditions from FS 2020, not those nonsensical default settings. Took me long enough to figure it right in first place. For now Iām tired and frustrated.

Simply: Trash and refunded.
I really hope that in the future, thereās some kind of system where releasing games in this state: broken, untested, practically pre-alpha, actually comes with consequences. Maybe a fine, maybe restrictions, something to stop this nonsense.
But hey, just my opinion.

Itās working well for me, I have already put ~40 hours into the new sim, both in campaign and free flight. There are definitely bugs and incomplete things here and there, but the core experience has been great for me, really happy with it. A real testament to it is that I really havenāt had any desire to go back to 2020.

@Stardrifter2232 how fast is your internet? I feel like I have no chance with 100Mb I get from my only option - starlink! 
Oh yeah, thatās rough. Iām on 1 gig cable, so Iām sure thatās helping. I have had several experiences with the servers just giving up on me for a minute or two at a time, but the overall experience has been pretty seamless otherwise.
I get where others are coming from, though. I had a miserable time with FS2020. Took 13 days to get it working, which required a full Windows reinstall for reasons no one was ever able to identify. Itās a lousy feeling when the sim just doesnāt work, or barely works. Been there, done that. Iām glad the only issues Iām having this time are mostly manageable (awful AI voices and terribly written/translated scripts, career mode bugs with flaps and other things, etc.)

Day 1 i couldnāt do anything like all others
Day 2 i was already able to go into Cockpit and start flying
ā¦ now i am really happy with the new sim, yes, there are still bugs and i didnāt figure everything out, but flying so far delivers a very good experience in VR!
Especially Sedona i am really overwhelmed by the look and feeling you get when flying there!
I also started to put my addons to the 2024 folder and no CTD so far.
Overall i am satisfied!
After saying that Jorg Neumann and Seb Wloch should take responsibility and accountability for that mess.
I turn it around and accept they did that. The whole second earth idea is just audacious, the letās stream most of it was inspired future sighted genius.
And yes innovators will hit glitches and the launch was a debacle but looks at it now.
Itās not perfect but itās glorious!!!
Iām increasing my review from 1 to 4 stars. And urge others to revisit once happy.
Thank you to MSFS, Asobo and all the persons involved to make this thing literally fly.
