2675 hours in total
My Logbook has been deleted at least twice so far, but my computer says I’ve been in MSFS for 6000+ hours, so I’ve likely been flying more than 4000 hours.
I recently achieved my personal goal of 10,000 documented flight sim hours.
I started simming with Microsoft Flight Simulator 1.0, but didn’t start tracking my hours until FSX. Around 1350 hours are in MSFS2020. Another 300 hours were lost after Alpha/beta testing finished and the logbook went away as well as loss to system crashes. I logged a lot of hours in FSX, X-Plane, and PrePar3d.
My next goals include reaching 2,000 rotary wing hours and 2,000 hours of night time. I intended to go for 1,500 hours in MSFS 2020, but with the introduction of 2024 my time is going into it instead.
I log my time from multiple sims in a third party electronic logbook.
My goal was to hit 3,000 flight hours in MSFS2020 before 2024 launched, I missed that mark by just over a month, so kept with 2020.
All that said, with the state of 2024, I’ll keep flying 2020 even though I’ve now hit my goal.
Congrats! That’s an achievement. I agree with your strategy, that’s my plan until the bugfest settles out. Never could get a decent handle on control settings anyway, more complicated that necessary. Next stop, 7000.
~75 hrs logbook flight time, Steam ~ 129… MSFS 2024…
I forgot how many on 2020…
2,000 is my personal guess.
I came from DCS and have 1000s of hours there. However, since 2024 dropped and became relatively stable, I have managed around 120hrs in the A2A Comanche.
That’s pretty crazy! You’re definitely seeing the world though.
i am new i have abt 34 hours
I wish I had a nickel for every hour I have spent on flight sims.
Actually played a version of FS that had not been on the market. MSFS 3.1 was like flying sticks on an 8080 processor and keyboard only. Was already flying 5.0
It all started in 1986 MSFS 4.0 - 400 hrs
MSFS 5.0 - roughly 600 hrs.
MSFS 6, 7 - hundreds plus hours.
MS Combat Flight Simulator 3. 200 hrs.
MSFS 8 - 2002 - 3-400 hrs.
MSFS 9 - 2004 - A century of flight. Lost track of how many hours.
MSFS X - 2006 - with the Acceleration pack and Aircraft power pack. Roughly 1000 hrs. Flew MSFS X for 18 years. Every new version I needed a new computer and with good internet which I couldn’t get good internet, could not afford and missed out on 2008 - 2024.
January 2025 bought new machine with MSFS 2024 on line. I am currently at 781 hrs. in 4 months. MSFS 2024 was very buggy, no crashes, just errors in programing defiantly needs to be patched. So while waiting for the patch I bought MSFS 2020, but when I installed it it told me that I already have 2024 and I would only get the content from 2020, Very disappointing.
Now that 2024 is working better I am having fun with the Career and Challenges modes. I just have to ignore those penalties when doing things right until the patches, many patches, thousands of patches are installed. Until then Keep the Blue Side up.
I do that too. Too help I turned down motor and some noisy sounds but turn the voices up so when I get a transmission, I hear it through out the house. and can respond in time. I just hate it when you get up to a black screen that says you have crashed and you do not know why.
