I bet you can get good money for that 4040. Must be a collector’s item😉
I also play MSFS 2020 - just a few minutes ago, I finished a flight in MSFS 2020 without any stuttering, CTDs, or other issues.
Also I’m testing SU2.
I’m not going to explain how MSFS 2024 works - we all know that by now. Instead, I’ll just say that playing MSFS 2024 and also testing SU2 feels like going back in time. I don’t know why, but MSFS 2024 gives me the impression that it’s just a later build of MSFS 2020, or maybe a weak fork that was created a long time ago and is only now being polished.
Heh it’s like SU8 or something for sure.
Hi @Willhelm1962
see:
Here’s the thing for me. I fly airliners mostly. I do a flight from KSFO to KLAX in 2020 and the scenery is just gorgeous. Then I do that same flight in 2024 and San Fran from departure at 6000 ft or above just looks atrocious. Yeah maybe it looks good flying over the city a 1000 ft but from above it just looks bad and not real at all. 2024 is for VFR bush pilots which I rarely do unless I’m bored and just wanna play around. Until the scenery from above and the clouds lose that fake look, I just keep it around in case that day ever comes. It ain’t there yet.
2024 is to on again off again. Last week all my 2020 planes and their autopilots worked, now, in the last few days their Garmin’s will not receive the flight plan and you cannot input a flight plan. They have to do something to mess up the 2020 planes so we have to buy the new ones. Only in this case their new 182 will not start or transfer the flight plan. So, yah, I fly mostly 2020.. I would rather be flying than solving their problems. I bought it expecting it to work
I have both, but only choose FS2020 to fly the iFly or the PMDG 737. I’m enrolled in the SU2 beta for FS2024 and things seem headed in the right direction.
I find I get better performance in FS2024, with my GPU being fully utilized, although running out of VRAM is an issue since I only have 12GB.
I really wanted to do a flight in 2024 today. After quite some time of preperation I was ready to start my flight and guess what? Keystrokes didn’t work. Again. I wasn’t able to even press Escape. I used the X in the upper right corner (yes, Alt-Return worked, but that’s a Windows thing, not a MSFS thing) and fired up 2020.
I hope this is fixed with SU2.
Possibly. I’m in the SU2 Beta and haven’t come across this.
Make sure you set your desired keyboard profile is set as the default. You do this by clicking on the little gear box just to the right of the profile. I was having this problem ever since 2024 came out but once I set my profiles as default it seems to have stopped. It might be just a fluke too that it stopped reverting after I set it. But give it a try for all your controllers. Can’t hurt. I was getting sick and tired of them always reverting back to the 2024 transversal profiles.
I will try this, thank you.
The main reason I flew fs2024 was the default a321 Neo LR, if Microsoft added a default embrear 175 E2, add the 8 and 9 variants to the default 787 (like how the a330 has all the variants and configuration’s) and a default Fairchild Metroliner 23 that is all you would need to do to keep me flying the latest version of Microsoft flight simulator
Okay, so I brain farted (4060)
Found it! Thank you for your help!
6 months laters, MSFS 2024 is still a bit of a hot mess.
I like 2024 better than 2020. I fly General Aviation and vintage planes mostly. The graphics are better, it’s more real.
Just miss being able to save a flight.
Not only casual simmers suffer fs24 syndrome

Youtubers normaly get some money out of there effort they put in.
But Blue Simulations channel is almost dead and that only cost time and money.
