Finally got it working - my VKB won’t work if a set to 0-100, but works fine with full axis value. Different helos respond differently (CH47/R66/H125) but very nice! Love Spad!!
@DenverZman great to hear
So you just changed the expression?
What was your raw output of the Joystick?
If you could provide the expression and your raw values, i would add these to the video description.
Well I’m having problems after changing the expression. Kept everything in the Expression I tried below, removing the /0 and the 0 to 100 in the axis scale. Not working again this morning with the Cowan R66 for some reason. VKB joysticks won’t work on revised 0 to 100 scale for me.
@DenverZman
What are the raw min and max Values for your Axises when you check them in die Data Monitor?
Sorry wasnt back at my Sim PC since posting the video.
Hope to come back over the Easter Weekend or at least after Easter. If i can’t help you here, maybe we can meet via Discord. When iam back to my Sim Rig.
Hi and thanks for your follow-up. I got it working after fixing some things on my end and removing the /100 on my VKB Evos - very nice! Flew the CH-47 tonight and this changes the entire flight experience. I plan to upload it to Spad once everything is double-checked. Thanks again!
Bumping this up because not enough people know about this!
After buying some new Helos (Chinook, UH-1H) I revamped all my controls, starting with Helicopters. Adding Force Trim (as found in Hype H145 and 160) to ANY and ALL helicopters in MSFS really is a game changer. It should be a standard control - push one button, auto set trim and fly with fingers.
Anyone using this with the Taog UH1? I’ve set it up but it doesn’t seem to be holding, wondering if it’s using different settings?
I’m using with the Huey, not noticing any issues but will double-check.
Still getting an issue with this after coming back and trying again. Looking at the controls in the cockpit the X axis seems okay but when I hit the force trim any Y axis input gives full deflection (or at least back to the zero point) whether it’s forward or back. Odd. Going to download that axis and trim visualiser as shown in the video and see what it gives.
What are the maximum deflection values I’m aiming for, for each axis?
Think I may have solved it, extra brackets!
Yeah I learned the hard way to copy and paste exactly.
It’s a very simple process to setup in Spad - literally would have a hard time flying anymore without it - just makes control so much nicer in cruise.
Also fantastic in small birds like the R22 where the force trim allows for some wild tree top level flying,
Hey DenverZman,
Can you shoot me a message on Discord? (jpo368)
I fly the H145 in MSFS2020 but want to expand my home flight sim experience and have some questions about some various products and how I would go about setting them up, like AirManager for the OVHP, etc.
I appreciate it bud!

In case anyone is wondering, this Spad script also works with Moza AB9 - just replace the local device info for previous joystick, move X and Y parts of the bindings (cut and paste) from current joystick to Moza base/stick X and Y and go.
Works immediately - force trim WITH force feedback. Along with my new Virpil Collective (Christmas present early from wife) the only thing missing is a fan for the wind…
How is the Moza base, you using ‘as is’ or with an extension? I’m interested not from the full force feedback thing but just as a cyclic base.
Works great as a cyclic base! I use a 100mm extension (200 is too long because of high base size). No spring setting, does a great job transmitting movement and air force.
In what way do you use the SPAD script with the Moza since doesn’t that now have a trim release function? How do they work together?
Trim is only hardware trim on the MH16 Flightstick. I’m using a VKB Gunfighter on the Moza base. Works the same as it does on VKB base.
Using the software trim via SPAD does the stick still hold position and move with trim as with the hardware trim option or do you still recentre as with a non ffb stick?
It recenters like a non-ffb stick, but immediately picks up the ffb again so it’s pretty smooth. Don’t feel any pushback from the stick though as in hardware trim. Not an issue for me as I’m always concentrating on flying - it just ‘is’.
I have the same issues as others do. Once I hit any button on stick, or move the stick…nose dive. I can not hit anything, give it some slow power to go up, H125, and then at alt, move joystick, instand nose dove. Reset, nose dive in circles, no control. I’v watch two different videos on this, still can’t get it. What settings do I have that are jacked up?
