I’m thinking about trying VATSIM but I wasn’t sure how to go about using it without a way to communicate with ATC. It’s probably a simple answer, but I didn’t see a “mic” button assignment for the Honeycomb Yoke (under controls) for MSFS. Suggestions, help? Thanks! ![]()
Vpilot > settings > push to talk
I unmapped the white button under the left side of the yolk to Push To Talk (PTT).
This is done within the vPilot (VATSIM) client.
Thanks for the help!
yes…best key I think is LHS under/side of yoke, as your right hand is on throttles probably, and you need constant access to PTT button in Vatsim.
I searched for PTT in the control options of the Honeycomb yoke and could not find “push to talk” or “PTT” to map the white button. I assume that I map the button in VATSIM?
So in MSFS, Control Options, select the Honeycomb Alpha.
Search by assigned and press the button you want to use, if it’s assigned (it is by default) un assign it.
Then, open the vPilot Client, go into Settings, Push To Talk and assign it that button.
Basically you want to un map it in MSFS so it’s blank, and then map it in vPilot for VATSIM.
Fantastic! Thanks skypilotYTS for replying with clear instructions and patience!
Anytime, glad you got it sorted out ![]()
